 Hate spreading in America
« Thread Started on Oct 28, 2009, 12:04am »

CultNews.com Summary of "Organized hate still growing in America," by James Rudin, published within the Fort Worth Star-Telegram/April 26, 1999

The Oklahoma City bombing accomplished by convicted murderers Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols, followed the plot of a bombing described by founder of the National Alliance William Pierce in his 1978 book "The Turner Diaries."

A conference in New York City convened by the American Jewish Committee examined the growth of organized hate groups within the United States.

Recent incidents that involved white supremacists included the so-called "Freemen" of Montana, who promoted violent racism and anti-Semitism.

Freeman Rodney Skurdal wrote: "The Bible is written for only one race of people . . . God's People, the white race." When white Christians " . . . move into a new land, we are to kill all of the inhabitants of the other races . . . nor are we to allow other races to rule over us."

Skurdal can be seen as one example of the growing Christian Identity movement, which uses religion to mask its hatred of blacks, Jews, homosexuals, and other supposedly "inferior" peoples.

Law authorities have said that Eric Rudolph, wanted as suspect for the January 1998 fatal bombing of a Birmingham, Alabama abortion clinic, was influenced by Christian Identity.

Official estimates have stated there are 16 Christian Identity groups in Missouri and three in Kansas.

John Trochman, a founder of the so-called "Montana Militia," warns that a "world government" will soon take over the US. The UN plays a pivotal role in Trochman's paranoid conspiracy theories, which include ominous black helicopters.

Richard Butler, a neo-Nazi and leader of the Aryan Nations talks about "eliminating Jewry" and is devoted to the memory of Adolph Hitler and the Nazis.

Before the Oklahoma City bombing most Americans ignored hatemongers like Pierce, Skurdal, Trochmann, and Butler. They were often dismissed as "kooks" or "crazies." But since that tragedy that claimed 168 lives attitudes have changed.

Many hate groups preach a seemingly pathological distrust of the federal government and civil authorities.

One law enforcement representative speaking at the conference said, "It's really dangerous when you start mixing guns with religious beliefs that are far to the right."

Obama seems to be making race relations worse.

That stupidity has nothing to do with Obama. ::)

What is funny is that according to the Bible, the Israelites were God's chosen people. Weren't they Jews?

Interesting that we have this story focusing (deflecting) on white hate groups and at the same time a guy with a muslim name shoots up a bunch of folks at a US military site.

I was thinking about Obama's Reverand Wright and his racist hate views of whites. How much of that stuff did Obama absorb in his 22 years?

And Rev. Wright was not a neo-nazi. Your comparison makes absolutely no sense. Sounds more like something Rush or Beck or Hannity would say.

There are many hate groups in many races, religions and creeds.

That guy who said the Bible is for the white race only, is sadly mistaken. ::) It's for people of all races...I hate it when people twist the Bible and use it to define their agenda...

Reverand Wright was/is a anti-white racist person and a very hatefull person who is against other races and cultures and even against our country when he said "Chickens coming home to roost" and his "gd America" rant & rave. Very sad and grim to know that our president sat in his pews for 22 years absorbing that talk. and nodding his head in agreement.

We have been listening to you and your "The sky is falling" and "Rush knows everything" and "Sarah Palin is God" talk for years and I really do not think it has rubbed off on any of us. Your views are always sad and grim, but the rest of us seem to be unfazed by it. A person can listen to a lot of crap and filter out most of it.

Of course, you were not at the church so you really do not know that the President was nodding his head in agreement, do you? Shoot, I sat in the pews of my church for years and don't remember anything specific from it.

Yes - and from what I am reading online, it seems that this was a one-man terrorist attack.

But what do you have to say for the rest of the congregation who were not only in apparent agreement but were shouting 'yeah-brutha!' and 'amen!' and high-fiving the guy?
No one talks about that.
It's not just Wright. It's an entire culture.

Actually, I have never seen the video clips as I do not watch TV. But I have heard of them, and, well, whether you like it or not, it falls under free speech. They have opinions that you may not like, but that they are certainly entitled to. I am sure that you have opinions others dislike - does not mean that you shouldn't have them.

Have you ever gotten angry at your government or at the way you think that the country is going? I believe you have. After all, just look at your sig line. Are you guaranteed by the Constitution to be able to freely speak your mind about the government and such without fear of redress? Well so are they.

I may not agree with the things that these people think and say, but I will be damned if I am going to condemn them for thinking it.
