Below normal temps, but Saturday was nice- went to the Expo Home & Garden show and met two of our local TV weather Ladies. They put on a show asked weather-related questions They called on me to answer "When was Tulsa's latest snowfall"? I got it right and won a "T" shirt. (Answer is May 3rd, 2013). It was a hoot and was great to see the Ladies in person. All the local TV stations had booths there but their show times were all different.

I'm in Kentucky and we've had a colder than normal march. No Global warming so far.

It will be 82 here today and the mid 70's this weekend. We're going to the Tempe street fair/arts festival this weekend. Some years it's too hot to wander around there all day, but this weekend will be perfect.

I've seen it snow on Derby Day here and that's the first Saturday in May.

Sounds like you're having great weather. I love this time of year in Arizona. But spring is a short season for us. As early as late April, we'll be in the mid 90's low 100's.

I wondered where you were but didn't want to ask. With the Global warming it's like that here in Kentucky also. It gets in the 90s and stays there all summer except for a couple days in the 100s.

We usually have a number of days above 110*, with our record being 122*. That's wholly intolerable. Last year they had to shut down the airport because it was too hot for the planes to take off. Summer here sucks. But we'll be retiring in 10 years and plan to be snowbirds. We'll spend the hot months in a cooler climate.

Here in Louisville we have a big river...the Ohio river. and when it gets in the 90s the humidity is crazy. I've lived in Oklahoma and it gets hot there to but it's a drier heat and a little more tolerable. When I was younger I hated winter so much I use to say, I love warm weather...you can't it too hot for me. I lied, you can get it too warm for me.

I was born in Arizona, but grew up all over the place. Met and married my husband in West Texas in 1984 and we moved here in '88. Other than a few years in Texas in between, we've lived here ever since. If we have shade and a mister, the heat is tolerable. Most restaurants have misters outside. But once it creeps up to 110 and above, all bets are off and we're inside until it cools down a little.

Misters, I learn something new every day. I have never heard of them before.

Misters, I learn something new every day. I have never heard of them before. I used to volunteer at a local festival that tended to be held in late July. We had a short series of "mist arches" that probably saved a lot of guests (and volunteers!) from suffering heat exhaustion.
