Just finished A Prayer for Owen Meany, by John Irving. I had read it once before when it was first released in the late 80s, when I was recovering addict, at home in CA. It's set in New England. It was spiritually uplifting and that was precisely what I was yearning for at the time. It's a great story, with lots of soulful substance, with no particular bias toward one religion or another. I would say it's a good mix of spirituality and philosophy. It's pretty suspenseful throughout, though it's more of a character study than it is a complex plot or story line. The ending is unusual, but edifying. I give it an 8 of 10 for modern literature. Recommend! Peace, OHD

It's a little dark, but also has a good complement of wry humor throughout. I think you will really enjoy it. Don't sneak a peek at the ending! It's tempting! Peace, OHD

I'm finishing up a book I got as a Xmas gift: Bullshit, a lexicon by Mark Peters. Its a collection of some of the multitude words that mean bullshit and bullshitters. Wonderful really. One of my favorites explores the origins of poppycock which its states originates from a Dutch word used in an idiom that translates to "fine as powdered doll excrement." So poppycock is doll poop. What a great expression for bullshit.

A good book to read is Dana Loesch's new book "Hands Off My Gun". She's really good... she also does a radio show called "The Dana Show" >> She's the "The conservative alternative".

OK, who wants to call BS because we know he can't read... Well I do know he recommends books he hasn't read all the time so I sincerely doubt he's actually read that one.

I'm on a waiting list at the library to read that book. I have read a few of Mike Savages books a few years ago. I can't see spending $25.00 for a book read it and then it's on the shelf. Dana Loesch is good and she's one smart lady, very pro-gun she said a gun saved her life. As ya know 'Bama is using stepping stones to get to a point of collecting our 310 million guns, and Hillary or Sanders if elected will carry on where 'Bama left off. We cannot find or collect the 15-20 million illegal aliens we already have here so we have to make them citizens, there is no way we can ship them all back to where they came from~ But to collect 310 million guns it's no problem.

danaloeschradio.com/books/ >>> Check it out, she even researched the 2nd amendment it looks like a good read, everyone who favors freedom and the 2nd amendment should read her book. The liberals and democrats want to dis-arm America and they will keep at it, Obama already appointed many democratic liberal judges around the nation.

Once again we go from what book have you read to the political rambling of a mentally retard freak...Every post every thread has to be about him or something he thinks he understands...
