Just curious, got a favorite brand and/or use a 'clumping or not clumping' type.
Thanks in advance. (prolly a mistake)

Special Kitty litter. The clumping kind. Comes in 40 lb. box and is cheap also.

I'll just be sooooo glad when I can put mine out & not have to mess with a litter box.
But they're so cute now.I love to watch them play. 🥰

Mine's a house cat now. My first wife and I had a cat for 16 years but I don't remember having a urine problem with her...this big tom with clumping type leaves large stones the size of baseballs everyday. Needs to be cleaned every day. The cat we had was a lot smaller and she would go outside for short periods, may have taken leaks outside.

I use this: Arm & Hammer Litter Naturals Scented Clumping Corn Cat Litter, and I have used this when I can't get the other: Arm & Hammer Litter Slide Scented Clumping Clay Cat Litter I have two cats, one is 15years old, both indoor cats.

Thanks, some reports on internet say the clumping type can cause health problems of blockages...that it gets on their feet and then is licked off. Not sure if that is a real problem or not.
He's had UCI in the past where the urine smells of strong ammonia but an Iams dry food for UTI has cured that problem. The vet told me spayed toms were prone to UCI problems.

That could very well be true! I had to clean one of my kittens feet. He had it all over them & was trying to lick it off.

I went to clumping, I'll admit litter lasts longer and is less stinky. Just have to add a little litter on occasion. He hasn't used the box for 10 days or so, wants out more often tho.

He may have quit the box altogether, although if it is raining he will use it.

I haven't had a litter box in a long time, but I have one kitty inside now I'm taking care of. She'll come in from outside to use it. She's been inside since she was a small kitten. She had the virus that kills kittens..(killed most of the ones born last spring)..I got antibiotics & saved her from that, then she was bitten & got a 'warble'in her neck. The vet said she probably wouldn't survive that. It got an infection that went to her brain. She's a bit wobbly, unbalanced but other than that she's fine.

Interesting alternative to 'clumping', and healthier for sure. I couldn't change it that often though.
