Sports questions we need to ask...
5) Is Green Bay really this good?
4) Did anyone predict the Oklahoma U collapse? (I know one person)
3) Should Oklahoma St. fans be pissed?
2) Can the NCAA National title really be won without scoring a touch down?
And the number one sports question of 2011.... Drum roll.......
1) Is Tracy now a Tebow fan?

#3...damned straight they should be pissed...I am a LSU fan and I am pissed at the rankings...there is no way in hell a team that could not win its division, therefore could not play for its conference title, should be ranked #2 over a conference champion and be going to the National Championship....Ok State got screwed with the limber member!
THIS is the reason that we need a conference play-off system for college football instead of selections by voting!

While I do understand what you're saying, isn't Alabama the only real team that has a legit shot at beating LSU. These two teams are in a different class from the rest of college football. In my mind the best two teams are playing for the National Championship. If Alabama masters the act of kicking a field goal, LSU could be in trouble. As for Oklahoma St. they lack defense. I think there offense can compete with either of the two teams above, but not defensively. I didn't have a vote, but if I had I could not reward Oklahoma St. after they lost to Iowa St..... Prediction: LSU 17 Ala 14

Chosen...maybe it is because we have already beaten 'bama once this year...which knocked them out of the division title as well as prevented them from playing for the conference championship, I just don't see why they should be placed above a conference champion in playing for the national championship...to decide the championship based on how some folks vote, imo,...is just wrong...granted, it is the system we have, but I have opposed it...even before the SEC became so dominant in football.....maybe it is because I am around a lot of the most obnoxious 'bama fans on a daily basis that colors my thinking.
an example....the recent LSU/BAMA game---goal line interception----"stop frame photography" clearly shows the LSU player with BOTH hands wrapped around the football...the bama player has one hand (his left) on the end of the football and his right hand trying to pull the Lsu players hand off the football...even when presented with this proof, many of the bama fans say that doesn't matter...that it was not an interception....pretty clear to me as to had control of the football when they came to the ground.

THIS is the reason that we need a conference play-off system for college football instead of selections by voting! Won't happen as long as college presidents realize how much money they stand to lose by it.
