Just fininshed The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. Narrated by Death himself, who is a much more kindly and sensitive figure than you might have imagined, this book tells the story of Liesel, a young girl growing up in a foster home in Nazi Germany. I found this book to be beautifully written and quite touching. If you like historical fiction, tales of survival, and the power that words can provide, then I would recommend this book.
It is also a movie that is now out in theaters, but I am not so sure I would want to see it.

I thought about purchasing the "Book Thief" but wasn't sure it would hold my interest. It sounds more interesting than I synopsis I read. May go ahead and try it.

It was much better than I expected, and only a few bucks for my Kindle.
