OK, somethings off here. If that boat was really as tiny as it looks in the video, how was it so stable in the water with all that going on?

It wasn't close enough to the boat, still far out in the water? But it was pulling on the line. If something was pulling that hard on the line, it should have pulled the rod, and therefore the boat toward the direction that the line was being pulled in. The only explanation I can think of is that that was just a part of a much bigger boat and the biggest part was behind it. I've never seen anything like that, but I guess it's possible it could exist.

Line tensioners on deep sea rods would allow line to be pulled from the reel once a certain pressure is met but I agree I thing that canoe should have been moving more than it was...
