Dave works in a large office with a very professional staff and whenever anyone is having a conversation about someone Dave will always say that he knows that person and give his opinion of the person…This has been going on for years and people have just stopped believing Dave and figures that he is just trying to make himself look important…
At the annual company retreat Dave over hears his boss talking about Tom Cruise and Dave again says he knows him at the he is a rather nice guy well the Boss is finally fed up with this and tells him that tomorrow he is taking Dave to California to prove that Dave does in fact does not know Tom Cruise…The next day they board a plane and fly to California and after getting a cab Dave gives the cab driver an address and they get dropped off in front of a large gated house and Dave asks the security guard if Tom is home the guard tells him he is downtown at a movie studio so they take the cab and get dropped off at the movie studio…As they are taking a tour of the studio they see Tom Cruise and Dave gets his attention and Tom yells over to Dave and says he is on a way to meeting but has time for a beer with Dave and his boss…The boss having a hard time believing this is true figures it is just a one off and tells Dave he was just lucky to know Tom Cruise but he doesn’t believe he knows everyone…Dave says pick someone else so the boss says President Joe Biden and Dave tells him they are good friends the boss not believing him says lets fly to Washington DC and find out so they board a plane to DC…
So after getting to DC they take a cab to The White House and get in line for a tour and sure enough during the tour Dave catches the eye of Joe Biden and Joe says Hi Dave I have a couple minutes lets have a cup of coffee with you and your boss…Now the boss is complete flustered and after having coffee with The President he tells Dave that this has to just be another coincidence and challenges Dave to prove he knows The Pope, Dave says sure old family friend…The boss can actually not believe this at all so the fly to Rome…
When they get to Rome they take a cab to Vatican City once there they make their way to St. Peter’s Square were Pope Francis is giving a speech on the balcony of The Vatican…Dave realizes he will never get the Pope’s attention in the mass of people so he tells his boss to wait there and that he knows all the guards and will appear of the balcony with the Pope in 15 minutes…15 minutes goes by and sure enough Dave is standing next to the Pope shaking his hand…As Dave makes his way back to his boss he sees a crowd of people and paramedics surrounding his boss and when he bends down to ask his boss what happened the paramedic tell Dave that his boss had a heart attack…He looks down at his boss and asks if he going to be OK and the boss says “I just couldn’t take it anymore” Dave said couldn’t take what anymore???Dave’s boss said when the guy next to him said “who the fuck is that with Dave on the balcony”…
