I enjoy reading James Patterson novels. One that I particularly enjoyed, because it seemed to deviate from his "norm" was The Jester. It is set in the times of the Crusades, and follows the trials and tribulations of a French innkeeper who has returned, disillusioned, from the Crusades to find his entire life has been turned upside down. I found it enjoyable and immensely entertaining.

I like Patterson too, Chickie. I haven't read The Jester, but it sounds interesting. The Alex Cross series were real page turners for me, chilling, but a good read. The last Patterson novel (co-author Liza Marklund) I read was The Postcard Killers which was, to quote SK, very grim indeed. His novels are fast reads with the shortest chapters - usually three or four pages.

Haven't read The Postcard Killers yet. Might get out to the library to see if it is in. I love the Alex Cross series. I find that I really care about him and his family. I just want him to finally be happy! Have you read any of the Alex Delaware series by Johnathan Kellerman? They are somewhat similar to the Alex Cross series, but Kellerman novels delve far more into the twisted. I like that stuff.

I heard Patterson has wanted to kill off Cross, but the fans won't let him! LOL BTW, Cross isn't in the Postcard Killers, but it's still a good, albeit ghastly, read. I haven't read any books by Kellerman, but TY for the tip. I'll check it out as soon as I finish two books my friend just gave me for my birthday, perhaps you're familiar with the Stephanie Plum series authored by Janet Evanovich. I've never read any Evanovich novels, but many of my friends like her. The two I just got are Plum Spooky and Plum Lovin' .

Never heard of the Stephanie Plum series. Never read any Janet Evanovich, either.
