I've read a ton of their literature, Belle, and lots of it very 'eye opening,' and rings true, for me!! Peace, OHD I couldn't put this one down! It made Revelation so simple & easy to understand. Of course it takes scriptures through the entire bible & puts them with those in Revelation. It brings it all together.. really an 'eye opener'.

Have you read the book by Randy Alcorn, "Heaven," the one I mentioned? He has many, many ideas that really jibe with JW literature. I wonder if he didn't belong to that church at one point. I'll have to look up a little bio on him. Would you send me a PM with a link, if they have one, where I could order that literature? I may have read it, but I'm not sure. I have friends in Muskogee that are Witnesses and they gave me lots and lots of reading material. Peace, OHD

I like to read non-fiction books. Lately I have no time to read books.

I'm reading 'Easter Rising' by Micheal Patrick McDonald right now. It's a follow up to his book 'All souls'.
He's also a facebook friend of mine. Nice to know not all famous people are locking themselves away.

I'm more sci-fi and fantasy...but my favorite all time books are "Gone With The Wind" and "Scarlett"...I recently read "The Langoliers" by Stephen King...I love "The Lord of the Rings" books...and classics that I read in school...I read all the time... "The Langoiliers" is also a movie, I have it on VCR tape. The plane goes thru some sort of time warp and they land at an air port and everyone is standting still because time is frozen, one person in film is blind or deaf (I forgot which). As far as the movie goes I liked the first part better than the ending, the ending I found too far out.

Most of the movies made from Stephen King books are awful. A few exceptions: "The Stand" mini-series, "Misery" and possibly "The Shining" with Jack Nicholson, although that was a pretty loose interpretation.

You would of really liked our church's Bible seminar program, that's the kind of topics we discussed. The Bible books of Revelation & Daniel go together, if your stumped in one book go to the other. We talked about Heaven, the 1000 year millennium, and the 2nd death things like that. That's what got me hooked on my church. I now know what happens when we die, the resurection, what happens to the wicked- it's all clear to me and all backed up with Bible verses.

Start with what happens when we die & what is the second death?
