I downloaded three books yesterday: "Little Girl Lost" by Brian McGilloway "The Good Sister" by Wendy Corsi Staub "Delivered from Evil: True Stories of Ordinary People Who Faced Monstrous Mass Killers and Survived" = Ron Franscell I am a little more than halfway through Little Girl Lost. A little slow paced, but a pretty good story so far. Have you read the Newtown book by Matthew Lysiak yet? It's very well written and researched. I had it in my hands at Barnes and Noble, but I don't think that I am ready to read that yet. Maybe after some time passes.

Maybe after some time passes. It's not graphic at all and there's no photos, but I agree, you may want to wait a bit longer before you read it, as I think it might be hard for you. It was very respectful to the town, though, and most, if not all, of the proceeds are being donated by the author to one family's personal foundation.

I have heard that it is a very good book, and I will read it someday. Just not now. That is just me.

I'm reading a book about the Hells Angels. Written by an ex-FBI agent who managed to get in with the gang and then hung 'em out to dry. It's very interesting, kind of disturbing in some parts. There is nothing cute about these men who join or joined the infamous motorbike group. They were/are ruthless to the extreme. My ex mother in law was a Hell's Angel. So was my BIL. Some of those people are actually pretty nice & kind hearted. I knew one. He was a decent guy. I've also known others from a rival club, and most were decent people.

Right now I'm reading a book on astronomy. The moon, the planets and the little tiny spacemen.

I'm about halfway through a re-read of "To America" by Stephen E. Ambrose. I'm trying to reread The Sound and the Fury, by Faulkner. I couldn't get into it, 20 or 30 years ago. I think I put it down after a 100 pages or so. Many people have trouble with his spelling of the southern dialects, but I enjoy and understand it. It must sound foreign, nowadays. Peace, OHD

I have currently getting back to RR Martin's Game of Thrones books. It's very tedious, I'm 42% done with Dances with Dragons...I've been reading it for 2 years.

Finished "To America", then re-read King's "The Tommyknockers" (ever notice how most of King's recent works all seem to be the same story rewritten in different ways? "The Tommyknockers", "The Cell", "The Dome".....all the same story.)
Now re-reading "The Perfect Storm".

He's been around so long, I guess he and his dozen or so ghost writers believe the younger generation of readers haven't read his much earlier books, so he rearranges the stories, and.... Voila! They are obviously 'formula style' stories. The last book (series) I read was The Green Mile. I think he pretty much peaked out with that. It's one of my all-time favorite movies too! Peace, OHD

What makes you think King uses ghost writers? I have never seen any evidence supporting allegation. If you have some, please share it.
